As per the latest official SSC CHSL notification, candidates are NOT required to upload a photograph file. The portal captures your photograph live during online registration.

Photo Capture Guidelines

  • The new SSC portal (ssc.gov.in) captures live photographs directly via webcam or the 'MySSC' official mobile app.
  • Traditional photo file uploads are NO LONGER ACCEPTED on the official SSC portal.
  • Stand against a plain, light-colored or white wall with adequate frontal lighting.
  • Do not wear a cap, mask, or spectacles/sunglasses during live capture.

Official Portal Steps

  1. 1.Log in to your One-Time Registration (OTR) profile at ssc.gov.in.
  2. 2.Navigate to the active application form for SSC CHSL Examination.
  3. 3.Click on 'Capture Live Photo' using your webcam or download the official 'MySSC' app on Android/iOS.
  4. 4.Align your face inside the on-screen oval guide in good lighting and click Capture.
